THE PERFORMANCES:

Other dance styles of India will fill the stage with a variety of Indian classical dances to include Kuchipudi and Mohiniattam. They illustrate how the classical arts of India hold centuries of culture and heritage.

The evening features an introduction into the history of the costumes and demonstration of how a Kathakali actor tells a story using an ancient 4,000 year old sign language, emotion, movement and characters.

The costumes are then brought to life by outstanding international artists from south India, Kathakali by Kalamandalam Vijayakumar who has performed worldwide since 1982 and famous for his sensitive performances of the female characters.
