Kathakali and Hinduism workshop at Rushcombe First School

We had a great time at Rushcombe First School in Corfe Mullen Dorset, where around 400 children learned about the connection between Kathakali and Hinduism.

We set up some Kathakali head dresses and the children placed flowers around them and made a wish. After that they learned how a Kathakali actor tells a story through gestures, movement, characters and emotions.

It is always a pleasure to work in this wonderful school that strives to bring the arts to the children and has become a great friend and supporter of Kathakali.

We will be bringing our full Kathakali company back to the school on the 15th and 16th November 2017 - come along and enjoy top international Kathakali artists performing in this outstanding school.
