THANK YOU THE VICTORIA AND ALBERT MUSEUM for hosting Kathakali Meets Bharatanatyam on 12th May 2019.

The afternoon attracted people from all over the UK to see the stunning costumes and remarkable performances by artists form India.

An excellent audience created a warm and appreciative atmosphere for the majestic Kathakali and Bharatanatyam costumes to stand in their full glory at the sides of the stage in the beautiful Lecture Theatre.


Kalamandalam Vijayakumar led the programme with his outstanding performance of Poothana Moksham highlighting his superb skill and ability to express emotions. 

Bhagya Lakshmi delivered an excellent performance of Bharatanatyam showing the power of this classical dance.



Arunima Kumar provided a breath taking performance of Kuchipudi showing how this joyful classical dance tells stories through movement. 


The Kia Kotti Kali group performed this ancient dance in a cirle to open the show and bring the culture of Kerala onto the stage.
