The Kala Chethena Kathakali Company are pleased to welcome Steve Hill back onto our Publicity Team, who will be working on our exciting projects - 'Kathakali Meets Carnival' featuring an exhibition of Kathakali and Carnival costumes at Southampton City Art Gallery (13th May to 19th August 2017) and a photographic exhibition at the Dimbola Museum and Galleries on the Isle of Wight (21st July to 15th October 2017).

For our major Kathakali Tour 2017, (26th September - 18th November 2017) Steve will be joined by Rachel Shimell of EM Communications, who deliver creative and innovative media activity to arts and tourism, using a wealth of experience and valuable contacts.

We want to make links between Kathakali and the beautiful state of Kerala, south India, the home of Kathakali, to develop tourism to this wonderful part of the world. If you have booked a holiday to Kerala, why not come and experience a "Welcome to Kerala" session - meet us back stage , discover something about Kerala and see a Kathakali show.

Rebecca Hodges will be channeling all this exciting news through our social media outlets using her skills and great imagination. As well as this, Rebecca will be photographing our workshops and events.

Together we want to let as many people as possible know about our exhibitions, workshops and full company Kathakali performances presented by world class artists from Kerala.

Keep your eye on our WHATS ON page; come along, see the elaborate make up process, view the costumes, meet the artists and then see a performance. A warm welcome will greet you so please, come and join us!
