A celebration of the arts and culture of Kerala Southern India 

A celebration of the arts, culture and heritage of Kerala, Southern India, has started with an exploration of Kathakali - the classical dance drama of Kerala. The workshops revealed how how a Kathakali actor tells a story through characters, movement, emotion and a 4,000 year old sign language called Mudras have kicked off the Kerala Comes to Whitehill & Bordon, Petersfield and Haslemere heritage project - kindly funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

People have also been enjoying making masks based on a traditional Kathakali makeup design
