We are really looking forward to bringing our internationally renowned Kathakali artists from Kerala, India, to tour the UK in September, October and November 2024.
Kathakali tells captivating stories using intricate facial expressions, powerful movements - based on the Martial Arts [Kalaripayattu] and deep emotions to potray characters ranging from heros to the most evil.
Travel back in time and enter the enchanting world of Kathakali storytelling, experience how love, kindness and compassion overcome arrogance, vanity and greed.

EXHIBITION
Some of the Kathakali performances will be.part of an Exhibition Heritage Project called Kerala Comes to Whitehill, Bordon, Petersfield and Haslemere.
This is a wonderful opportuntity to see the beautiful Kathakali costumes plus Mohiniattam and Bharatanatyam costumes at your leisure, see the fabrics used, the intricate three dimensional makeup made from rice paste and discover the traditional dress of Kerala worn by the people who created, nurtured and preserved these incredible classical arts over the centuries.
The exhibition at The Phoenix Theatre and Arts Centre, Bordon, Hampshire is supported by accessible workshops and magnficent performances hosted by Whitehill & Bordon Community Trust, Haslemere Educational Museum and Petersfield Museum and Arts Centre.
