An exhibition of Kathakali costumes, beautifully carved headdresses, colourful fabrics and three dimentional masks depicting Kathakali characters will open on 2nd April 2022.
On APRIL 2nd and on 21st April - learn how a Kathakali actor tells a story, see the make up and meet the artists then see a Kathakali performance featuring a traditional Indian story performed by experts from south India.

Open a door into the remarkable world of Kerala, enjoy the powerful drumming of a Chenda Melam, see the costumes come alive through professional performances of Kathakali and Bharathanatyam. See the traditional dress of Kerala, photographs and films then complete the experience with Kerala snacks.

See authentic Kathakali, Bharatanatyam and Mohiniattam costumes from Kerala, films, and photographs. Observe their beautiful colours, fabrics, intricate wood carving, tailoring and pattern cutting designed to create extraordinary images characters and change when the performer moves.
